The two models for electromagnetic current measurement are .
- Compact Logger - (1.0 kg in air) and allows for current velocity measurements virtually anywhere.
- Deep Ocean Logger – 6,000m depth rating along with doubled battery capacity.
It is hard to accurately measure deep water currents using Acoustic Doppler current meters because suspended particles are almost inexistent. It measures 2-D current velocity using electromagnetic sensor. Therefore, even if the suspended particles do not exist around the sensor, it can provide accurate data. The Deep Ocean Version has a depth and tilt sensor to monitor its mooring condition.
