The wMicroTracker ONE enables activity measurements of small organisms cultured in liquid medium by using multi-well plates. The system is validated for use in C. elegans, Zebrafish, parasitic worms, & small insect larvae. With the automated data collection capability, you have the following advantages:
- Long-term, consistent data acquisition - Perform live assays for several weeks at a time with high reproducibility of data.
- Non-invasive technology - It uses very low power infrared radiation, without affecting the animals behaviour.
- High Throughput assays - Can be used in 6, 12, 24, 48, 96F, 96U, 384 well plates
- No user bias, no tedious training – Load your experiment, set your parameters and walk away. Your data will be ready for you at the end of the programmed time.
- Obtaining results is very straightforward. A long kinetic recording can be performed entirely automatically.
WMicrotracker ONE uses a method that detects the scattering of light that occurs when the target organism passes through an infrared microbeam. The number of microbeam channels is 384 (wavelength 880nm, diameter 100um, power less than 1mW/mm2), and in the case of a 96well plate, 2 beams are irradiated per well.
Various Applications -
Toxicology, lifespan/aging, chemotaxis, oxidative stress, anthelmintics, ecotoxicity, RNAi, etc.
